Adams Mansion National Historic Site Photographs

This file unit contains photographs of the Old House at Peacefield and the surrounding grounds at what is now called the Adams National Historical Park, located in Quincy, Massachusetts. The photographs document the appearance and condition of the mansion, as well as the Stone Library, garden and carriage house, at the time of donation of the estate to the National Park Service. Peacefield was home to U.S. Presidents John Adams and John Quincy Adams; U.S. First Ladies Abigail Adams and Louisa Catherine Adams; U.S. Ambassador to the United Kingdom Charles Francis Adams; and historians Henry Adams and Brooks Adams.
